Kalium Lakes Beyondie SOP - Indigenous Outcomes Progress Report June 2021

The Relationship Committee Meetings with both the Gingirana and Birriliburu Traditional Custodians were held at the Beyondie SOP Project site on 31st March 2021.

Committee members were taken on a tour of the Project including the Ten Mile Lakes trench pump and pre-concentrator pond, the Sunshine Lake pre-concentrator pond, the North side evaporation ponds and drive through processing plant area.

Holding this round of Relationship Committee Meetings onsite was a great opportunity to continue to develop the relationships between the Kalium Lakes’ team and the Gingirana and Birriliburu relationship committee members in both formal and informal settings. During the formal meeting, the key areas discussed were heritage management, land management matters and cultural awareness training. The key focus for the committees during the next 6 months is to commence the development of the Cultural Awareness Training Package including the installation of locally commissioned artworks along with continuing to progress discussions about the ranger program and employment and contracting opportunities.

Kalium Lakes has also provided a high-level briefing on the Project to the Gingirana Common Law Holders in April and has executed a Deed of Variation to the Land Access Agreement with the Gingirana People to include the Ten Mile West area.
